SUMA won't connect

Running AFNI and SUMA on a mac (OS 10.15.6).
I can get SUMA and AFNI both to open just fine, and load up the relevant datasets in AFNI. NIML+PO is selected, SUMA recognises the TT_N27 spec and sv files and I get the 3d brain image to play around with, but when I press ‘t’, nothing happens.

This happens both with my own data, but also in the suma_demo folder from the bootcamp data.

I’d be grateful for any help.

If it’s relevant (although I can’t see offhand why it would be), I’m trying to do this through TeamViewer. I have not had any other problems with inputting commands, though.

Output of the SUMA terminal window:

LanguageLab$ suma -spec TT_N27_both.spec -sv TT_N27_SurfVol.nii

hi,
Is your macOS firewall enabled?
( System Preference → Security & Privacy → Firewall )
When you first opened xquartz or ran afni, was there a mac popup that asked to “accept incoming connections”?
thanks, Justin

Hi,
Both afni and suma are set to accept incoming connections on the firewall.
Thanks, Henry

Hi,
How about xquartz and terminal?
