Hi gurus
trying to use GroupInstacorr for the first time. I have a feeling I can get things working just by playing around with different sample sizes but I'm wondering if there are ways to know ahead of time what my system can handle.
Specs on this computer:
Apple M2 Ultra, 64GB memory, 380 GB hard drive space left.
Specs on the data I'm trying to instacorr:
30 subjects of (errts*) resting state, the 3T data was highly accelerated (10+ mins of TR=0.8s, 2mm iso resolution)
I used 3dSetupGroupInCorr which produced a 4.3G .data file. Then I tried to start it up as described in "afni20_instastuff.pdf" and I get this output:

I'll probably try with 20 subjects now but:
what can i do to get it to work? set up memory allocation differently? set up a longer connection time out?
and what can i do to anticipate this in the future? i thought with 64GB RAM i'd be fine but is there something about Apple M chips maybe?
