The -ETAC option uses a lot of RAM, and that might grow with
the number of CPUs specified (5, in this case). Are you able to
use ‘top’ or something to monitor RAM usage while this runs,
and compare that with how much RAM your system has?
Hi rick. Thanks for your help. It crashed too fast to see the memory load. But it echoed information memory usage chunks =8131 Bytes=1520157 when i set the etac only 1. By the way, the memory in computer is 64G.
It would help to see the “progress report” from 3dttest++ as it ran before it crashed, in order to narrow down the problem. The crashlog doesn’t show all of the history, so I can’t actually tell how far the program got before the bad news happened.

I didn’t notice that you were using the -singletonA option. Neither ETAC nor Clustsim will work with that option, and I thought I had put in a test to make sure that type of situation would print out an error message and stop. I guess I did not do that (but will do it in a moment).
In your case, you want to test the mean of the -setB datasets against the constant 0.5. The only way to do that with ETAC or Clustsim at this time is to manually subtract 0.5 from each of the datasets, and then do a 1-sample test of the results (against 0). The subtraction is easily done with the 3dcalc program.
