Conjunction analysis and cluster thresholding revisited

Hi everyone,

I wanted to follow up on a discussion on the message board from a couple of years ago about cluster-extent thresholding conjunction analyses. If I’m reading it correctly, one thread recommends correcting before running a conjunction analysis and another thread appears to advocate for correcting after the conjunction analysis. Is there any consensus about the proper time to use cluster-extent thresholding with conjunction analyses?

Also, I noticed that the website describing how to do a conjunction analysis has disappeared from the afni webpage. Is the method that was described on that page (using 3dcalcl) still considered best practice?

Thanks for your help!

Best,
Kendra

Kendra,

We have kept the old site accessible at sscc.nimh.nih.gov so you can find the documentation that your looking for at
https://sscc.nimh.nih.gov/sscc/gangc/ConjAna.html

Thanks
Brian

Brian, Thanks for providing a link to the new documentation website. However, it is no longer working. Has the website been moved again?

Also, my questions remain unanswered. (1) Is the method that was described on that page (using 3dcalc) still considered best practice for conducting conjunction analyses? (2) Is there any consensus about the proper time (before or after) to use cluster-extent thresholding with conjunction analyses?

Any clarification would be much appreciated!

Best,
Kendra
