I was wondering if it is possible to generate specific regions (specifically I need bilateral amygdala, thalamus, striatum, hippocampus, GP) within a mask of the entire brain inc. the cerebellum. I am new to SUMA and have been using some other visualization software, but have run into some obstacles.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are class materials, available from the Documentation tab, - particularly the ones for ROIs and for atlases that are useful here. The advanced visualization notes are there too.
The afni GUI allows you to visualize atlas regions by right-clicking on an image window, Show Atlas Colors, or with the Draw Dataset plugin. The suma GUI allows visualizations of surfaces and volumes, even ones generated from atlas datasets. If you’re at NIH, then it may be useful to meet and discuss.
