Missing libraries

Dear AFNI,

I am looking to run 3dNetCorr (Precompiled binary linux_openmp_64: Dec 20 2021 (Version AFNI_21.3.13 ‘Trajan’)) on a linux cluster, but I do not have libgsl.so.0 no do I have root privileges to install it. Is there a workaround for this?

Ho, Ho, Howly yours,
ZXu

Howdy, Stranger-

I am afraid that I don’t know of a workaround—you might have to ask Santa that “sudo yum install gsl”, or the equivalent package manager command, be run by the cluster admins.

Obviously, this is all part of Rick’s secret plan to keep extra dependencies in AFNI—the fact that this program is in the ptaylor/ directory is in no way a contraindication of this suspicion. None whatsoever.

I do declare, PT: Santa don’t do clusters.

However, compiling a local version worked great, libgsl was all that was missing.

Merry Holidays to the whole AFNI team, you guys rock!

Z

Hey ZXu,

Here is the file libgsl.so.0.12.0, which should be copied (or linked to) with the more simple name libgsl.so.0 .

Note that it would not be enough to put this in abin (at least for the openmp_64 binaries), but to access it via a directory in LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

Please let us know if that works out.

Thanks,
