Latest Matlab Library

Hello,

I am hoping to start some group analysis and I have downloaded the AFNI Matlab Library from this website: https://sscc.nimh.nih.gov/afni/matlab/

I just want to confirm that this is the latest library I should be downloading for analysis.

Hi, Tamara-

We don’t support or maintain the Matlab libraries anymore, and those are likely quite old.

What kind of group analysis are you interested in performing?

I was hoping to run a 4-way ANOVA:

Group (2) x Phase (2) x Reinforcement (2) x Subject (38)

Tamara, that can be easily done with 3dMVM. Or, you can even use 3dttest++ / 3dMEMA if you are willing to tease apart the ANOVA structure into multiple individual t-tests.

Thank you Gang for the suggestion. I am just looking into 3dMVM right now for the first time and I am going through the examples. If is still suggested that I include subject as a random effects if I use 3dMVM?

No, you only need to specify those between- and/or within-subject factors plus quantitative variables (if applicable) in 3dMVM.
