3dMEMA Output Warning Question

Hello!

I’ve performed a paired test via 3dMEMA and received the following warning:

++ Smallest FDR q [1 negative_minus_regulation:t] = 0.0417078
*+ WARNING: Smallest FDR q [3 QE:Chisq] = 0.671929 ==> few true single voxel detections

What does it mean that the Chi^2 has a high FDR while the FDR for the t-statistics are good enough?

Thank you!

The Chi^2 tests the hypothesis of cross-subject variance tau^2 = 0. It seems that you don’t a huge number of voxels with high cross-subject variability.
